Scholarship

“A STORY OF HOPE” – A SCHOLARSHIP FOR THE ARTS

BENEFACTORS: LEAH AND DAVID HARE

“A Story of Hope” is offered to young performers exclusively applying for a place at the Apollo Theatre College full time course.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide funding to the college so that it can in turn offer support to one or more students with financial circumstances that may inhibit their ability to attend the college.

In describing their commitment to seeing young men and women seizing the opportunities available to them, Leah and David aptly named this scholarship “A Story of Hope”. They wish for it to represent their continuing commitment to seeing young men and women of all walks of life having equal opportunities to the hope of a fulfilled life.

Inspiration

The inspiration behind this scholarship comes from Leah and David’s personal commitment of wanting to address the hopelessness faced by young people around the world imprisoned by human trafficking. Their personal experiences have inspired them to provide opportunity here to young men and women through the arts. It is believed that the “Story of Hope” scholarship will in turn inspire our students and whole College community to think beyond their day to day life of how they can inspire and help others whether it be close to home or further afield.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...
It’s about learning to dance in the rain
